I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
